Back For Round 3

I now enter my third year of involvement with the multisport of triathlon. I had a big year in 2013, training for and competing in my first half and full Ironman distance races. I can finally consider myself experienced. It is difficult to put so many “first time” experiences into a race and expect great results. Moving forward, the experience should help me to achieve greater results. This year, I’m going to focus on setting myself up for 2015 Ironman Wisconsin. I have some races this year, but I am also getting married, so races are not my priority. Furthermore, I’ve had very poor training so far this year due to buying a house, moving, planningĀ a wedding, resurgence of asthma, and poor training weather. I’m getting back into it though, and will put up a good fight at High Cliff. My tentative racing schedule for 2014 looks like this:

  • June 14 — High Cliff Half Ironman
  • August 9 — US Age Group Nationals, Olympic
  • August 14 — Half Dome, Yosemite National Park
  • August 23 (maybe)– Two Rivers YMCA Sprint
  • November 9 — Madison Marathon
